chills my face,
and heightens my sense of smell.

Watching the storm roll over the headland
feeling joy roll over me.
The atmosphere lightens the colours under the storm.
Moisture brightens colours and sharpens the contrast
between the shapes in the landscape.

The ocean’s response varies across its surface.
The water is more green than blue,
the chop under the storm sends irregular waves
of energy to the shore.
