The mighty magpie is front and centre, singing his morning song. The Bokhara River is on the left, and the roads coming into town join in the centre meeting place. U-shapes represent our people, and the cracked mud represents my connection to Country, it’s flat and mostly dry. Corrugated tin represents a lot of the old houses, including my family’s home, and the dots represent the colours of the wildflowers after rain.
