Barrel Racing Dynamo features a young lad and his horse skilfully manoeuvre around a barrel on race day.  Heart beating fast and dirt flying past.  The crowd is a diverse mix of spectators – some engrossed in the action, while others wandering in distraction at times.

My choice to paint this on linen,  an imperfect and textured canvas,  underscores the idea that life,  like the artwork is not about perfection.  Instead about the raw unpolished moments that emerge from the background to form a beautiful narrative of shared human experiences. I met the young boys Mum and it turns out the rider's best friend is featured in the crowd to support him.
