Climbing the twisted boughs of Jacaranda trees, lost among the delicate leaf cover. As twilight falls, the colours of the Jacaranda tree are here encapsulated abstractly within the bark. Climbing these wonderful limbs and surveying the world from within their shelter was a massive part of my childhood in Grafton, New South Wales. I find the many, many shades of jacaranda purple so resonant, and doubt that I will ever tire of painting these wonderful trees!
