Description
Limited edition of 100, certificate of authenticity supplied.
There were a lot of things old-timey people got right: tea cosies, singing together at the pub, making lamingtons from scratch, making clothes that lasted. Things they didn’t get right: lead piping, adulterating bread with sawdust, introduced species and aluminium teapots.
Setting aside the risk of aluminium toxicity, aluminium teapots are very photogenic. They have a good shape and reflect the light well, you just wouldn’t catch me drinking tea out of one of them. In this little scene we have a purple teacup sitting next to the teapot. Despite being a lot smaller, it holds its own, smug in the knowledge that it is still in use and functional.
