Australian Native Flowers – A tale of two cities…
This is the second of a pair of Australian native wild flowers originally painted in oil on canvas.
The first painting (Once and Floral) germinated from stunning walks in Sydney around North Head where the abundant wild flowers inspired a loose arrangement viewed from above.
A second neighbourhood walk in Brisbane yielded even more fresh material for another loose arrangement to be painted in oils on canvas. This whimsical bunch, however, has flannel flowers we had seen in Sydney interspersed with local Red Silky Oaks and Bottlebrushes and Wattle and gum leaves also viewed from above.
