The twin Churches of Rome (Santamaria dei Miracoli (right) and Santa Maria di Montesanto (left) are at either side of the northern end of the Via del Corso, as it enters the piazza del Popoli. Although of similar constructions, each has unique features. Built in the latter 17th Century and financed by Giraloma Cardinal Gastaldi. Pope John XXIII was ordained in the Montesanto. Both the churches contain multiple chapels, sculpture, and other artworks.
