While sitting quietly in the forest camp we call Bourke Street, on a friend’s property at Ilkley in Southeast Queensland, two birds flew in to see what was going on. Our viewpoint determines much of what we make of the world. ’Oh, visitors’ I thought…but who were the real visitors? Birds like this have a wide ‘home’ range and this ‘drop-in’ was probably part of a habitual daily flight path.
