I have always loved the enchanting purple blooms of water lilies, with dragonflies daintily flitting from one bloom to another… long before I’d even heard of Monet. I was fortunate to have a billabong (or lagoon) on the farm I grew up on. After my recent travels up the Queensland coast, these memories were revived and I was inspired to create my own little ‘Monet’.
