ACTIVITIES
James paints after being on holidays with his family in order to create art which reflects the pleasure of being on holiday and away from other stresses and concerns. He paints for the sheer pleasure of using colour and tone to create images which mirror the joyous experiences of his recent holiday.

His paintings show scenes and people which remind him of happy and peaceful times.

James has had five successful solo exhibitions in various venues in Brisbane on 2nd May 1991, 28th August 1992, 25th March 1994, 25th November 2000 and 9th October 2004 where he exhibited 171 works of art. Of these, 125 works of art were sold before or during the exhibitions and are on display in various private residences in Queensland. When the owners of these works of art meet James socially, they like to remind him about their own paintings which they still cherish at home. After his training in acrylic painting at the BIA in 2015, James’ paintings have a stronger more tonal structure, but they still demonstrate his love of colour which has always been a powerful inspiration for him to create new paintings.
