What I love about Brisbane is its liveability. I’m fortunate to have Mt Coot-tha Forest Park (virtually) on my doorstep. I frequent it often. It is, as per the title of this work, a breath of fresh air.

I could never tire of it; ever changing with the seasons, with its myriad of tracks. Native bushland in the heart of the city, free to access – Brisbane’s forest reserves are truly an escape from the rat race. It provides solace, a base to re-set, and – for an artist – endless inspiration.

One morning last September, a light mist, towering tress and back lighting, thanks to the rising sun, inspired this work. ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’ truly captures this magical moment.
