One pleasure of painting is that I have the opportunity to re create and or create a place of wonderment. I have an innate love for exploring the landscape, of taking paths untrodden, of finding niche spaces within where I can find all manner of things. I might find solace, a sanctuary, a magnificent vista, or a tiny detail that excites me.

This artwork sits within these parameters. I visited an amazing parkland space. I discovered something unique, I came home and created an artwork that possessed the emotions and feelings that I had experienced that day. I aimed to create something fresh, something that possessed an enticing allurement, so you, the viewer, can also experience the joy of being an explorer.
