Open Edition Reproduction
Collecting items, flowers and vessels and then randomly grouping them allows a story to unfold without me imposing that idea upon the objects themselves. This generous display was a result of several days in the studio creating smaller artworks.
I felt the need to break away from the small sizes and lavish colour, shapes and light falling onto a much larger surface where a more adequate response could be rendered and experienced. I love the portrayal of three dimensional form coupled with generous colour. Equally as alluring to me are the fabulous changes that occur with colour as light drapes across the forms.
“Anyone for tea?” is meant to be enjoyed as a celebration of these three ideas, form, colour and light.
