Limited Edition Reproduction of 100 Only
This memorial to the Australian Light Horse is proudly situated in the small country town of Capella on the Queensland Central Highlands. The sculpture commemorates the origins of the Australian Light Horse Emu Plume. It is believed that the first time troopers wore Emu feathers in their slouch hats, was near Capella when they were keeping law and order during the Great Shearers’ Strike of 1891.
The monument consists of a Light Horse sculpture and two screen dioramas. I was so impressed by the way the theme was depicted and also the craftmanship of the Public Art, I felt the need to depict it in my media.
