Delightfully traditional, but with a vivid, Aussie twist of colour and boldness! The spectacularly surprising native flowers of Australia never fail to astonish. Paired with immense glass globes to hold these extravagant blooms, the dainty gum-blossoms are a perfect foil to the rambunctiously assertive Grevilleas and the large, lovely Banksia blooms. Painted using my trademark textured and transparent style, I love how many nooks and crannies there are for the eye to explore. A sense of movement inhabits this painting, the marks of my brushes and knives writ large across the linen canvas.
