This one started out with ventriloquist’s dummies then my imagination got the better of me! Ventriloquists dummies are vaudevillian, a thing of the past. I rather like them. In this painting I paired my male dummy with an equally-artificial babe to, hopefully, provide an oddball relationship to question, well, relationships!

Throw in ancient pyramids, spacecraft, regal statues and majestic butterflies emerging from their chrysalis and this whole tangled web of artifice will leave you in little doubt that the journey between picking up a paint brush and letting your imagination fly is, optimistically, worthwhile!
