This painting aims to capture the different hues and reflections contained in both the irises and the sunlight in the blue glass vase.

I aimed to create the depth and image of the reflection of the single orange tulip contrasting with the blues in the vase and flowers.

The beautiful colour and lines of the silk also contrast with the colours of the irises and vase. In addition, the single tulip stands alone in contrast to the irises.
