Ca Loredan is the seat of the Venetian Council, in conjunction with Ca Fasetti, immediately to the right of this view. It dates form the latter 13th century and is a classic demonstration of the distinctive Venetian-Byzantine style of this early period, with rounded arches on several levels.

The ground-floor portico sports five such arches with Corinthian columns, plus adjacent pairs. The second “piano noble” level has a large seven-lancet windows, with single additional lancets.

There are connecting arches to Ca Fasetti, not visible on this illustration.
