Description

Draft is an oil painting that I would have to say is one of my proudest achievements… I still look at it and think WOW I did that! I am loving oil paints, technically I am still a novice but the effects they enable you to make are amazing! When it was in the local show I had the greatest compliment made by an old cow cocky, (a seasoned cattle farmer ) who had spent his life in the saddle said after looking at it for ages “that’s exactly it” … I had captured the movement and mood of the moment, the dust, speed and sweat. He made my year!. The texture created in the painting is actually sand incorporated in the undercoat .
