Description
After visiting this stunning emerald waterhole at Booloumba Creek, I found myself wishing I could live there. My colour choices for the swimwear and the subtle size of the figures reflect the idea that humans can be harmoniously integrated into such a delicate environment, rather than being at odds with it. Booloumba Creek is also known for its camping scene which can seem somewhat discordant with it’s sacred nature. To quiet the noise, the figures, while present, are at one with the scene, resembling water sprites emerging from the depths.
The loose yet controlled brushwork creates a sense of stable fluidity, mirroring the transcendent essence of the waterhole where humans and nature can coexist beautifully.
