Pale-headed Rosellas indulging in a family feast of forbidden fruit. The pale headed rosella is usually one of the more quiet and timid of the Australian parrots, but on this particular day they were happily devouring the berries from the Corky passion vine to even notice my presence.
It was a family affair, with both parents and three younger birds (still with a bit of red showing on their heads) enjoying the feast. Unfortunately, the Corky passion vine is a weed here in Australia, but that did not diminish their pleasure scoffing the tasty berries.
