An homage to Giacomo Balla’s 1912 painting “Dynamism of a dog on a Leash”,  this work brings Balla’s idea up to date with infamous Doc Marten boots and a designer dog, with designer accessories. The dachshund scurries away with a Jimmy Choo handbag, trailing its leash behind. I have used the repetition of boots and paws to create the notion of “simultaneity”— where it is, where it was, where it will be.
