Gridlock at jellyfish central

I got the idea for Gridlock at Jellyfish Central from my childhood. When I was young we would go out on the bay in the family boat and often it would seem that the whole bay was full of jellyfish. It was like a sea of giant blobs that went on forever. The coral in the painting is carefully textured gesso and the rest of the painting is made from what feels like hundreds of layers of inks. This painting took many hours to complete.
