Standing watch this tree is Sentinel like in the landscape, a watchman overseeing all who pass by. I took on the challenge here to portray a tree moving forward and back into the landscape scene. It clung on a small ledge, not wanting to abandon its watchful stance even though the ground beneath was tenuous. A rhythmic movement flowed beautifully and I longed to capture this. Australia is filled with many such trees, each standing in silent watch, amassing stories for another time.
