My Hydrangea series was inspired by my childhood memories of the hydrangeas planted at the front entrance of my home. For many years I viewed these flowers as old fashioned, but they added a splash of beautiful colour to the entrance of our family home. Pink hydrangeas symbolise heartfelt emotion. They are no longer there, but this abstract painting reflects my childhood memories of these mops of colour at my front door.
