Jacqueline Lee Kennedy Onassis nee Bouvier. Beauty, education, personality, and refined aesthetic tastes. Married to a charismatic President of the United States, then to one of the world’s richest men. “Jacky” was one of the 20th century leading ladies, perhaps eclipsed only by the Queen.

Brought into world-wide prominence by JFK’s Presidency, she brought personal recognition to her FIrst lady role via personality, tastes in fashion, and also her program to encourage major donations of American heritage to enhance the stature of the White House as the centre of the American Nation.

Dogged by the press and the death of her husbands, particularly after marriage to Onassis, she became reclusive, and died of lymphoma in 1994, aged 65.
