This is a well-known spot on the waterfront of Karragarra Island where the local sea faring folk gather from a cleansing ale, as the sun goes down over Moreton Bay. In the middle of the day sometimes too!
This is the fifth in a series of eight landscapes looking at Macleay and Karragarra Islands and how they look at each other. The water is important to everyone who lives on these islands. Many barges, and ferries come and go each day, but the early morning is the most beautiful and inspires my art.
