Leaving the "Chippers" on a gondola with the LV luggage, er ,in your dreams? The Cipriani is one of the "Big Five" great Venetian hotels (along with the Amah, Bauer, Gritti and the Danieli. It is unique in the groups being away from the Grand Canal on Guidecca, and with major extensive grounds, without the madding crowd – a happy and relaxed retreat from the pressures of San Marco. An efficient house vaporetta  enables rapid access to the other venetian sites. Note the asymmetry of the gondolas shape which permits direct travel using the single oar.
