I really like making dense drawings as patterns for my prints using only a simple nib pen dipped in ink. The tropical rainforest in the south-east Queensland hinterland is not far from my home and has been a source of inspiration for many of my prints. I enjoy walking through the tropical rainforest and being surrounded by a complex web of life. The rainforest is in a constant state of flux, a constant state of ‘becoming’. The plant shapes are many and of varied shapes, and the intense greens of the forest are from the part of the colour palette from I enjoy working the most.
