Description

Open Edition Reproduction

Seen here from the Fox Street Bridge, Wynnum Creek mouth has many points of interest. Once a bustling fishing hub and still a great spot for the local pelicans catching a feed, the nearby boat ramp is a popular spot to launch a dinghy for exploration and adventure.  Picturesque Queenslander homes and fishing boats enhance the view out to the unlimited spaces of Moreton Bay. Reflective water, boats and houses at Wynnum Creek, Brisbane. Close to the mouth of Wynnum Creek lies this vista of old and new. The flowing tides, new every day, bring biological richness to the fishermen here. Boats in various states of repair line the banks, and Queenslander homes from an era bygone are silhouetted against the trees. Wynnum is my country, and these waters flow through my backyard.
