During a few visits to the iconic Australia Zoo, I became fascinated by the texture and colour on the crocodiles skin, its pattern of scales and the way the teeth protrude from the jaws. This one, well fed in the zoo, was basking at the side of the water and, presumably waiting for food to present itself. Motionless for a long time one could almost not realise that it was there.
