The view of Macleay Island waterfront has changed with the addition of the new jetty. I’ve tried to make the tender in the foreground the centre of focus with the new jetty drawing the viewer’s eyes into the distance.

This is the third in a series of eight landscapes looking at Macleay and Karragarra Islands and how they look at each other. The water is important to everyone who lives on these islands. Many barges, and ferries come and go each day, but the early morning is the most beautiful and inspires my art.
