This is one of the largest watercolour paintings that I have completed. I was challenged by the fact that the early sunlight filtered down through the trees in the mid and background almost silhouetting the large trees in the foreground. The painting needed to be large to depict the sheer magnitude of the setting and shows the diversity of this preserved environment.
