This painting is of a baby being wrapped in natures love. This is represented by the fern fronds of the Ponga tree curling around the baby like a Mother’s arms. Native to New Zealand the Ponga tree or Silver fern tree’s silver fern fronds symbolise new life, growth, strength and peace. The shape of the fern frond (spiral) is also referred to as the koru. In Maori culture it is an integral symbol in Maori art and is often used to symbolise creation.

The Moon’s energy is also trickling down upon this new life encompassing him in divine love.
