Waterfalls, cliffs and cascading foliage in layered patterns of Australian landscape. The landscape of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland seems to me to be composed of layer upon layer of geometric patterns. Here I have simplified and abstracted the forms and interpreted those in the colours of the Australian bush. I love how each small patch of colour and tone is reminiscent of a single stitch in a rich, ornate tapestry.
