Pretty in Pink

The original artwork has many layers of gesso and glazing in the Peonies to build up the softness of the petals as opposed to the stiff texture on the concrete vase. In "Pretty in Pink" I have combined the two elements and used different textures to show the delicate petals of the Peonies and the harshness of the concrete vase. The opposing elements actually compliment each other.
