Pudgee was one of my neighbours who grew out of her home and had to move to a larger block. Her ‘parents’ commissioned this portrait before she moved. A pig with personality, at 160kg she was not easy to move as she was not in the mood to go. I spent some time with her and did many drawings trying to capture her personality. It is intended that she will eventually be the subject of a children’s book telling the tale of her move. In this portrait, she is non too pleased at the prospect!
