Description

Limited Edition Reproduction of 500 Paper & 100 Canvas Only

Before you go sailing the boats must be setup with rigging and sails. There is a lot to learn if you want to win the races. There is plenty happening in the image.

One on the mentors is Jackie, who sailed around the world solo, at the age of 65. You can see the big island and Coochiemudlo Island in the back grounds.

This is the first in a series of eight landscapes dealing with sailing at Tingira Boat Club, on Macleay Island. The days, which have three races, are for those people learning to sail.

More experienced mentors, from the club, help the beginners. I wanted to include as many figures as I could as these mornings are all about the people, boats and having fun. You can see the big island, Australia, in the distance. Coochiemudlo Island also features.
