A blushing pink Galah painted in watercolour. An explosion of outrageous pink cloaked in calming grey wings. We’ve caught this Galah off guard, suspended somewhere between scared and mildly shocked. Layers-layers, echo like a mantra in my painting brain, the secret to the vibrancy and texture of these feathers, not to mention the perturbed expression. I like to think this bird will shortly recover with a meditation… or a coffee.
