Sand Carpet

A golden carpet lies at the edge of the ocean. Frayed edges of the beach slowly break down and sink into the water. A fringe created by wear and weather, flotsam and jetsam. Where the sand and sea meet is a very inspiring place for me. There are all sorts of debris that creates patterns along the rim. Instead of the natural frothy curves and bubbles at the water’s edge, I have used geometric forms to express human involvement in this space.
