Speargrass Jewel was a painting that I challenged myself to do! I challenged myself to paint this painting because I wanted to see if I could capture the raw emotions and incredible beauty of this precious moment .
The bonding between mother and calf , the first suckle . Speargrass also has an amazing coat and very challenging to depict . I am very happy with the finished piece that measures 61cmx76cm, as is the new owner of the original.
