Description
A memory from a camping trip with friends at the little town of Imbil in the beautiful Mary Valley north of Brisbane. We were down by the weir looking back up Yabba Creek towards the sunset. The clouds reflecting on the barely moving water created this peaceful country scene. I was inspired to capture the vibrant green of the hillside presenting a rich contrast to the silver blue, gold and violet tones in the sky and water. As the hum of cicadas filled the air, I observed the gathering shadows along the water’s edge. The luminous glow of the sunset at Imbil filled the sky behind the dark silhouettes of the gum trees, marking the end to a relaxing day.
