I had great fun with this one, and it is also a first for a couple of reasons. It is the first in a possible series of paintings for me and my apple touring Australia and it is the first wave-scape I painted. It was great fun to work out, and fun to paint. The story begins with an apple being the subject of the first picture I sold to a stranger, and a subject I have painted often since. I thought about this and decided it would be fun to take my apple on tour. This painting is of our trip to Mooloolaba, where the other apple of eye (my son)  was the model surfer learning to ride his board in the Mooloolaba surf.
