I felt this painting needed the human touch so I added the girl and her little dog sitting alone under the tree. Most of my people are real – actually in my sight when I sketch, but not this one. She was imaginary – or was she ? Residents told me later that often there was a lonely girl who came and sat under that tree. She looked just like the girl I painted!
