Glimpsed through the shop facades of Brunswick Street – soon to be demolished and rebuilt – was this young man hanging out a late wash. The sky glowed pink behind him and the Macedonian church at the end of Annie Street with its rows of triangular iron roofs.
The old iron stove recess frames the scene on the right. Old and new together – for now.
