Description
Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
I don’t like to get political, but I can’t ignore or stop social commentary from pervading my art.
Covid’s ‘new reality’ changed our world… and what we once enjoyed/took for granted: the pretty much easy global access 🌍
That accessibility was wound right back. Families were separated by arbitrary borders: between suburbs, between cities, between states… “The Border” considers this arbitrary separation and raises the question of how a ‘random’ line can define us. Are the needs of those on one side just the same as those on the other side? Or different? Is the grass always greener?
Here’s hoping family, friends, and loved ones will never again be separated by ‘arbitrary’ boundaries.
That said, If that’s too much to deal with…. just enjoy this pretty abstract for its fresh gorgeous colours, translucent layering, and high gloss finish that will look fab in any setting!
