Limited Edition Reproduction of 80 Only
Visiting friends in Bulimba we were hurtling home across Brisbane and took a shortcut. “”Stop Stop”” I shouted to my patient Great Dane I spotted this little old Cottage that brought back immediate memories of a very similar, but neglected, little place next to my grand parent’s Kalinga home. I well remember the tribe of little boys who always seem to be climbing out of windows, tearing down palm fronds, and playing marbles in the muddy unlined gutters. It looked like fun.
I did a hasty sketch noted colours and the number, but forgot the street name! Called the painting ‘Camp Hill Boys’. But no! After searching for months I discovered it in Dutton Street, Hawthorne. Sorry folks – only time I have misnamed a picture in 30 years.
