In a time when everyone is searching for answers.

This painting echoes back to the days before computers, digital imagery and smart phones when posters sold in their millions.

So the image of an astronaut on a cross floating in space above the earth seemed, in the late 1970's, arresting and provocative.

I held on to my original gouache illustration that I did at the time and used it as the inspiration for this painting. An idea and an image reborn.

As the title says – 'The Quest for Eternity' – continues.
