On a calm day there is a lot of speculation at Tingira Boat Club before the Vagabonds are put in the water. There is not much use trying to race if there is no wind. In this image the wind brains trust is deciding the fate of today’s Vagabond race.
This is the third in a series of eight landscapes dealing with sailing at Tingira Boat Club, on Macleay Island. The days, which have three races, are for those people learning to sail. More experienced mentors, from the club, help the beginners. I wanted to include as many figures as I could as these mornings are all about the people, boats and having fun. You can see the big island, Australia, in the distance. Coochiemudlo Island also features.
