It was an extremely long freight train from Roma St in Brisbane, to Dirranbandi in western Qld. Then we would be met and driven to Goodooga by car – about 90 mins drive or longer when it was still dirt from Hebel to Goodooga (that got bitumen in 2020). There was never any lights, it was old and rattled and the best adventure – it took us 30hrs one trip when it kept breaking down!
